It is an approach to the yoga practice with emphasis on alignment of the spine and balance, strength and flexibility of the mind and body. I have had 25 years experience in holistic therapies and have developed a therapeutic approach to my yoga teaching. My main goal is to give my students a more positive and healthy outlook on life and to adopt a less stressful state of mind, body and spirit.

I love working with people and helping them to feel good about themselves through self development.
I have worked in Alternative therapies for over twenty five years; practising Aromatherapy,Reiki Healing & Holistic Massage in various Health spa's including travelling world wide in health & fitness spas on luxury Cruise liners.
In 2001 I studied Nutrional Therapy with I.T.E.C. and spent three years advising diet plans, herbal supplements & vitamins in two Detox & Slimming Clinics in Surrey. I was introduced to my first Yoga Teacher which transformed my lifestyle for the better and I have never looked back.
I became a regular yoga student and after nearly two years of a lot of sweat and inspiration I was accepted by Ruth White's Yoga Teacher Training Course and 500 hours later I was fully certified.

I qualified in 2015 as a Sound healing therapist with the College of Sound Healing. The course has deepened my understanding and discovery of the powerful effect of sound for healing, Nada Yoga , "The Yoga of Sound".
Sound therapy has the ability to shift negative emotions & some illnesses. My voice has been trained as a healing tool, toning, mantras, Himalayan bowls along with various instruments, for re balancing the 7 main chakras for health, wellbeing, deep relaxation & Meditation.

I have visited India on various occasions since finishing my training to deepen my knowledge and understanding of a yogic lifestyle.
This has developed my spiritual awareness and has strengthen my yoga teaching; enabling me to be fully present and compassionate to everyone I teach.

I am dedicated and passionate about my work and ensure that I continually develop my skills thereby maximising benefits by attending Intermediate Yoga classes, Workshops and Retreats for teachers.

'KARUNA' means to work with compassion to alleviate pain.
